CEN WS 78 - Competences for dog training professional 

This proposed Workshop aims at developing common reference criteria, in a form of a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA), for the identification of the minimum competence requirements for dog training professionals, in terms of knowledge, skills and personal, social and methodological abilities. The document to be developed will be applicable to all kinds of training provider entities, regardless of their size.

The future CEN Workshop Agreement will be based on the European Qualification Framework principles, which will be used as guideline for the definition of the competences, skills and knowledge of dog training professionals. Dog training professionals are defined to be including dog instructors, dog trainers, dog professionals and operators with expertise in dog training who have experience in instructional/operational, behavioral, sports and social/welfare.
