CEN WS/86 - Authenticity in the feed and food chain – General principles and basic requirements 

The workshop aims at developing consensus-based  recommendations for definitions of key terms and concepts, and to outline principles and basic requirements related to food authenticity. The resulting document will provide recommendations for "best practice” underlying future communication and work related to food authenticity, and will help in ensuring the authenticity of feed- and food products. This workshop is related to the AUTHENT-NET project, short for AUTHENT-NET – Food Authenticity Research Network, a CSA action funded under H2020-SFS-2015-1.

This CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA 17369:2019) published on 2019-01-23 defines terms relating to authenticity and fraud when referring to feed and food products. All terms and definitions are in the context of the feed and food supply chains, and "feed and food" is implied whenever the term 'food' is used in this document.

 

CEN Workshop Status

 
The kick-off meeting was be held on 11 May 2017 in Parma, Italy. Next meeting is planned for 1 February 2018.
