Innovation Management

Innovation is a key issue for supporting the European competitiveness in the global market and creating growth, employment and sustainability. It is widely recognized as a means for companies to become more competitive and successful. However, many organizations do not understand how they should encourage and manage innovation. In November 2008 a CEN Technical Committee, CEN/TC 389 'Innovation Management' (AENOR Secretariat) was created in order to provide organizations with tools, in the form of standardization documents, to ensure a more systematic approach to innovation and optimize the planning and management of all aspects fostering their innovation capabilities.
