The recently released CEN Workshop Agreement CWA 17327:2018 on 'Competences of Hotel General Managers' defines the professional requirements in terms of competences, skills and knowledge of General Managers in the accommodation and hospitality industry. It is applicable to top managers in charge of the overall management of a hotel, regardless of its size or facilities. A General Manager is the person that can be regarded as the "guardian" of service quality standards and hotel reputation.
The definition of competence requirements for Hotel General Managers will contribute to future market growth and ensure the quality of professionals, enhancing competitiveness and the level of service in the accommodation field.
CEN CWA 17327:2018 has been made available by CEN WS 094 - 'Competences of hotel general managers'. The Technical Secretariat of this Workshop is held by UNI - Ente Nazionale Italiano di Unificazione.
