CEN Workshop on Nanoindentation Test Data - NATEDA

From materials supply to the design and manufacture of advanced products, the engineering materials supply chain has become reliant on electronic systems. To date however, the engineering materials sector has largely failed to adopt technologies for collecting, exchanging, and reporting mechanical test data.  In this circumstance, the development of a format for nanoindentation test data has the potential to enable improved data transfer and hence address this shortcoming.

The NATEDA CEN Workshop is a component of the H2020 M4F project on multiscale modelling for fusion and fission materials.

The Workshop is intended to deliver a computer readable data format compliant with the ISO 14577-1:2015 International standard for the instrumented indentation test for hardness and materials parameters. The Workshop will build on prior and ongoing Workshops that have delivered data formats for tensile test data, fatigue test data, creep, creep crack growth, creep fatigue, creep fatigue crack growth testing and material pedigree data.

A stable draft text of the CWA (CEN Workshop Agreement), is now available for public review and commenting until 17th June 2019.

Comments can be directly submitted to the Workshop Secretary Ms. Netty Zegers (Netty.Zegers@nen.nl) using the commenting form.

Comments received will be reviewed by the Workshop. The consensus outcome will then be published as a CEN Workshop Agreement.
