StandarDays is a two day information session aimed at newcomers to European standardization, as well as those who would like to understand the CEN and CENELEC Systems better. StandarDays are organized twice a year.
Next StandarDays are scheduled for 17 and 18 April 2012.
The presentations of 21 and 22 September are now available.
Objectives
StandarDays give a clear and structured overview of the European Standardization System, of the CEN and CENELEC products and processes, as well as the benefits of involvement to potential stakeholders.
Format
StandarDays is a two-day information session consisting of an introductory plenary meeting, which explains the different aspects and tasks of CEN and CENELEC (day 1) and interactive, in-depth workshops (day 2). This structure gives participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the overall European Standardization System (day 1) and then take advantage of the CEN and CENELEC expertise to obtain further clarification and explanations (day 2).
For whom
StandarDays are aimed at all actors interested in the European standardization system: industry, consumers, administrations and government, European institutions, research centres, national standards institutes, academia etc.
Participation
Participation is free of charge. Since there is a limited number of places, registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and will close when the maximum number is reached.
Registration forms to participate in the next StandarDays, will be available soon. For more information on this event, please contact the CEN Communication Unit.
What participants say about the CEN StandarDays:

Thank you very much for the opportunity to attend the CEN StandardDays. It was very well organized and the CEN speakers – or shall we call them the CEN coaches? - were very good. They were very helpful, very friendly… but most of all they were all so motivated and enthusiastic to explain everything about standards! We learned a lot and we will promote future CEN StandardDays to everyone who is/will be involved in standardization.

I express my satisfaction with the perfect organization and contents of the 4th CEN StandarDays. As newly appointed Head of the BDS International Activities Department, I would like to thank you personally for the kind readiness of the entire CMC team to support BDS activities in their variety and to assist our future initiatives and active involvement in the European Standardization System.
I was also impressed by the team work carried out and professionalism in arranging the interactive work during the seminar sessions and the working discussions. This was also a perfect example for me to be transferred to the workshops and conferences BDS is going to organize towards attracting the Bulgarian industry and stakeholders to the benefits of standardization.
