The objective of this CEN Workshop is to expand the 'European Standards Handbook', which contains reference to standard and standard-like specifications, commonly used to support Defence Procurement Contracts.

WS 65 - European Guide Dogs Mobility Instructor Training
The objective of this CEN Workshop is to a produced CWA that will establish the standards for Instructor training for all providers of guide and assistance dogs organizations in Europe.
WS 66 - Clean harbour - Best practices
The objective of this CEN Workshop is to produce a set of basic Guidelines that may be used by European yacht harbours and public authorities to plan, design, manage and monitor environmental development policies.
WS 67 - General Framework and Guidelines for Early Recognition, Monitoring and Integrated Management of Emerging New Technology Related Risks (iNTeg-Risk)
The role of this CEN workshop is to summarize and exploit the results of iNTeg-Risk project with respect to the Emerging Risks Management Framework and the ERRAs (Emerging Risk Representative industrial Application) grouped around the emerging risks related topics.
WS68 - Quality criteria health checks
The Workshop will aim to achieve consensus on quality criteria for health checks with a view to encouraging sensible screening practices, protecting individuals against the risks of unsound screening, and allowing clients to make responsible choices.

This CEN Workshop dealt with the development of an international consensus on the overall approach to the health-based toxicological assessment and approval of membrane water treatment systems for the preparation of public (municipal) drinking water supplies.
This CEN Workshop dealt with the definition of the support services provided to the small enterprise by clarifying the consulting services, a determining factor for its durability and finally for the valorization of its potentialities.

WS 4 - European Call Centre Standards for Training and Qualification
This CEN Workshop dealt with the support in the elaboration of training and qualification specifications for call centre agents, supervisors and managers.
This CEN Workshop dealt with the development of specifications on electrical interface from micro-cogeneration systems for domestic use in order to reach the market in a safe and effective way.
This CEN Workshop was led by INTERGRAF (the International Confederation for Printing and Allied Industries). It dealt with the preparation of a common set of certification criteria for secure printing and for defining different levels of certification according to the different products/customer market segment.
The objective of this CEN Workshop dealt with the development of widely accepted specifications for the testing and evaluation of metal detectors used in the context of humanitarian mine clearance, in order to have operations and equipment that are safe, reliable, fit for purpose and at low cost.

This CEN Workshop was led by FIEC (European Construction industry federation). It dealt with the qualification and approval of pre-stressing contractors and system suppliers in order to complete an ETAG (European Technical Approval Guideline) which has already addressed the specifications of the product itself.
The objective of the first CEN Workshop Phases I and II in the field of European Defence Procurement was to prepare a 'European Standards Handbook' which should contain reference to standard and standard-like specifications commonly used to support Defence Procurement Contracts.
The second part of the European Handbook has now been completed. The document was reissued as CWA 15517:2009.

It has not been possible to come to a consensus on the resulting document. The Bureau Technique of CEN recommended that the activities of the workshop be transferred to the CEN/TC 89 WG13 and that the results of CENWS 36 serve as a basis for the work of the new Working Group.

WS 53 - Biosafety Professional Competence (BSP)
The objective of the Workshop was to clearly define the tasks, the knowledge and experience required to adequately fulfill the BSP function.
WS 54 - Meat raw materials obtained by mechanical boning – Specifications and test methods
The objective of this CEN Workshop was to produce a CWA that will describe the specifications of meat raw material obtained by mechanical boning and in particular microbiological criteria and muscle fibre structure and the test method to quantify the modification of the muscle fibre structure.
WS 56 - Vegetable liquid fuel from virgin (non-) food oils for use in heavy duty diesel engines - VegOil
The objective of this CEN workshop is to produce a specification for liquid fuel from virgin oils (mainly of vegetable origin) that are optimized in terms of base product and pressing process.
WS 57 - Quality brand for the sustainable development of historical and cultural cities in Europe - Qualicities
The objective of this CEN Workshop is to deliver a CWA on a set of guidelines for the sustainable development of historical and cultural cities in Europe, based on the qualicities reference system.
WS 58 - Responsible online gambling measures
The objective of this CEN Workshop was to deliver a CWA that will create a policy tool that can be used by policy makers to address the challenges of developing a safe and secure online gambling environment.
WS 59 - Best Practice Approach for electromagnetic induction measurements of the near surface

WS 60 - Rental Conditions for B to C in relation to equipments, tools and accessories for construction, gardening and DIY
The objective of this CEN Workshop is to deliver a CWA describing the standard terms and conditions for rental equipment supplied without an operator, so that this document can be used, by associations as well as by rental companies, as a reference point for developing their own standard terms and conditions for the rental of equipment to consumer customers within their own and in other European countries.
WS 61 - Automotive fuels — Blends of paraffinic diesel from synthesis (XTL) or hydrotreatment (HVO) and fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) — Requirements and test methods
The objective of this CEN Workshop was to develop a 'stand-alone' specification for automotive paraffinic diesel fuel from synthesis or hydrotreatment for use in automotive diesel engines, allowing for Bx (0-7%) variant of synthetic paraffinic fuels.
It has been decided that the work will be developped in CEN/TC19 WG 24 'specification for automotive diesel'. This workshop is cancelled.
