Gas supply

Contact person

The area of gas supply covers all issues related to gas supply systems (including associated plants) from the input of gas to the transport system (gas transmission, distribution systems and storage) up to the inlet connection of gas appliances. Gas refers to combustible gas, which are gaseous at 15°C and 1013 mbar, that means mainly natural gas, liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) and manufactured gases.

Standardization in this field plays an important role in the present context of liberalisation and globalisation of markets where both gas supplier and manufacturer companies are currently facing a new economical reality, characterised by increasing competition and the need for cost effectiveness under which efficiency, quality and cost reduction are key elements.
