Major Current Activities

CEN ICT provides flexible platforms for consensus. Technical Committees producing traditional standards are made up of delegations representing CEN National members. Workshops are open to all interested parties. Pre-standardization work and public consultation is carried out through open Focus Groups. These bodies are active in the following areas:

• Banking software - XFS and J/XFS

• eBusiness – General online Invoicing and Procurement issues or sector-specific initiatives reaching consensus in areas such as construction or textiles.
  
• eHealth – healthcare informatics. New activities in this domain are under review.

• Intelligent Transport – road and traffic telematics, including e-safety, electronic fee collection.
