Energy Performance of Buildings
CEN has developed a set of 31 standards to support the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) 2002/91/EC, after it became law on 4 January 2003.
Together with the EPBD recast directive 2010/31 EU, the European Commission issued in December 2010 a Standardisation Mandate M/480 to CEN, CENELEC and ETSI. CEN is now preparing a second generation set of CEN-EPBD standards.
More information on CEN work and other initiatives linked to the EPBD are available.
