3.2  Handles and maintains overview of all financial matters relating to the fees for the use of the Keymark. Internal Regulations - Part 4, A.4.2, A.5.1.4; A.5.1.11, B.1.6, B.3.1.2(PDF - EFD)

3.4  The application and use of the Keymark, the promotion, and the protection of the Keymark against misuse.

Ensures that one or more register(s) of Keymark certified products are kept.

Provides statistics on issued licenses per product category and on surveillance activities and reports, including the monitoring of the exchange of these surveillance activities and its results.

3.5  Approves the suitability of referenced ENs and empowerment of certification bodies.

Allocates ID Codes to newly empowered certification bodies and establishes a list of empowered certification bodies.

Appoints an assessment team to evaluate an application for empowerment in case of doubt.

3.7  Monitors the operation of the existing CENCER Scheme and sets its license fee. Internal Regulations – Part 4, B.3.1.3 (PDF - EFD)
3.8  Promotes the co-operation towards mutual recognition of conformity assessment results like the European Standard Agreement Group (ENAG). CEN Guide 2 on mutual recognition of conformity assessment results (under revision)

4. Rights

Only CEN National Member Bodies may vote.
Each delegation from the CEN national members has one vote.

5. Composition

5.1  The Chairperson, permanent member of CEN/CA, or participating to it as a liaison member for certification activities. Internal Regulations – Part 4, B.3.2.2 (PDF - EFD
5.2  One permanent delegate and a deputy appointed by each CEN National Member Body.
5.3  One permanent delegate and a deputy appointed by each CEN Affiliate who implements the Keymark System.

5.4  Up to six representatives of the CEN Associates.

5.5  Up to three representatives of industry sectors.
5.6  Up to two representatives from laboratories and inspection bodies.

6. Method of appointment/Review

6.1  The Chairperson is appointed by CEN/AG for a period of two years, renewable for one further term. Internal Regulations – Part 4, B.3.2.2 (PDF - EFD)    
6.2  Delegates and deputies from CEN National Member Bodies are appointed for a period of two years, renewable.
6.3  All other members of the CCB are appointed by CEN/AG on proposal of the Chairperson and the CEN Secretary General for a period of two years, renewable.
7. Mode of working

7.1  The meetings are convened on the instructions of the Chair, or at the request of at least two national delegates. Internal Regulations – Part 4, B.3.2.3 (PDF - EFD)    
7.2  The CCB works in conjunction with the CENELEC Conformity Assessment Forum (CCAF).
