3. Responsibilities

3.1 Chairs the AG and the Administrative Board (CA)              

The Statutes of CEN, Article 24 (PDF - EFD)            

3.2   Acts as the principal representative spokesperson for CEN

3.3 Ensures the proper coordination between the CA Consultative Committees by convening and chairing  the President's Coordination Group (PCG)

3.4 Ensures that good relations with European partners are maintained and further developed                                       

4. Rights

4.1  To be a member by right of the CA The Statutes of CEN, Articles 21, 24 and  30 (PDF - E, FD)                
4.2  To intervene with a casting vote in case of equal division of votes at the AG or CA but otherwise has no voting rights
4.3  Other prerogatives of a practical nature may be conferred on President under the rules

7. Mode of working

7.1 In absence, the office of President is filled by one or more of the Vice-Presidents. The Statutes of CEN, Article 24 (PDF - EFD)
7.2 In the absence of the President for CA meetings, the chairmanship is taken by the Vice-President Policy. AG N 602
