Development of CEN-CENELEC publications (with the logo’s of both CEN and CENELEC) where electrotechnical and non-electrotechnical sectors have some aspects in common.                         Internal Regulations - Part 2, 4.2.1.3              
2. Reports to


Joint CEN-CENELEC Working Groups are set up by the Presidential Committee.  The approval of their work programme shall be secured at the level of the Technical Boards or, in case of difficulties, at the level of the Presidential Committee.


Note: work items shall from the start be allocated to CEN or CENELEC.

                     

3. Responsibilities

Development of (draft) publications  that are submitted to the organisation to which the work item belongs (i.e. CEN or CENELEC) for enquiry, voting, ratification and publication.

5. Composition

5.1  Joint Working Groups are composed of CEN and CENELEC representatives and are open to all CEN and CENELEC members, on the basis of only one common delegation per country with representatives appointed by the members of CEN and CENELEC in that country. When appointing experts to joint Working Groups, CEN and CENELEC members ensure that all interests affected by the work are properly taken into account.

5.2  If appropriate, at the discretion of the Presidential Committee, representatives from other bodies may participate as observers.

6. Method of appointment/Review
6.1  Joint CEN-CENELEC Working Groups are set up by the Presidential Committee after consultation of all CEN/CENELEC members within 1 month, with the aim of carrying out harmonisation work. This decision shall be ratified by the relevant body of each organisation. Internal Regulations - Part 2, 4.2.1.3.1

Through meetings and by correspondence.
