The CA Consultative Committee Financial Affairs is responsible for preparing items for CA decision and for monitoring the implementation of CA decisions relating to financial policy issues, and financial budgeting & planning activities.

Recommends decisions to CA in particular related to:

3.1  monitoring the CEN budget and financial accounts

3.2  monitoring and advising on financial relations between CCMC and its members, between CEN and EC/EFTA

                               
3.3  other tasks as decided by CA

Acts as advisory body to the CA through recommendations  
5. Composition

Chairperson: Vice-President Finance
Secretariat: CCMC (Director Finance) 

                
  • Up to 9 members, the Vice President Finance included, nominated from amongst the CA members for mandates of two years renewable. 
  • The CEN Director General takes part in meetings.
  • The Vice-President Finance may invite on an ad hoc basis the individuals/experts to contribute to the debates on particular subjects.

  • National Standards Bodies (NSB) not represented in the Committee may also be invited to take part for issues where they are directly involved.

  
6. Method of appointment/Review
The members are proposed by the CEN/NSBs and nominated by the CA by consensus.
7. Mode of working

While meeting as necessary, the CA Consultative Committee operates as much as possible through the use of electronic tools to ensure transparency of its operation.
