Global Directory

The Global Directory (GD) is the central repository for managing committees, users and their roles on committees for international (ISO, ISO/IEC), regional (CEN), and national work.
The main purpose of the GD is to provide ISO and CEN member bodies with a tool to register and maintain the individuals who act as their representatives in ISO and CEN Technical Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups as well as Voters on documents. Additionally it allows ISO and CEN member bodies that use the NTClite service or any of the ISOlutions applications to manage their National Committees and experts.
Depending on the role assigned to a person in the Global Directory, the correct permissions are automatically assigned to access documents, ballots and other relevant information in the other ISO and CEN electronic applications.

e-Trans

the e-TRANS platform has become an important tool for the electronic exchange of documents between parties active in the production of European Standards. This e-Exchange process enables use of the Internet for document transfer by the various parties involved in the
process, sender and recipients alike.The first objective of the e-TRANS platform is to provide a mechanism for e-Exchange of documents
that need to be translated at every main stage of the Standard Development Process : Enquiry, Formal Vote and Publication.
The three steps involved in the translation process are :

  1. First delivery, of documents (generally in English), by the TC Secretary for checking by the
    CMC prior to translation;
  2. Second delivery, by the CCMC for translation by AFNOR and DIN, or BSI;
  3. Return to CCMC of a French, German or English translation
