Focus Group on 'Best practices of practical applications in the use of eBusiness standards for European SMEs' (FG/eSMEs)

Background

The CEN Focus Group eSMEs aims to help SMEs integrate eBusiness standards and procedures into their daily work.

The Focus Group will collect and disseminate practical knowledge, information and experiences as well as guidelines concerning the use of eBusiness and eBusiness standards. The Focus Group will also provide courses and tutorials targeted specifically to small and medium companies.

The CEN Focus Group has developed an online database with tutorials and guidelines on eBusiness standards.

Deliverable

The final report with guidelines and tutorial material for SMEs on eBusiness standards will be available in June 2010. The material will be distributed to the European Commission's eBSN (European eBusiness Support Network). 

Focus Group

• The Focus Group kick-off meeting took place in Brussels on 2 April 2009.
• The final Focus Group meeting took place on 26 May 2010 in Paris.
