Canada
CEN, together with CENELEC, signed a Cooperation Agreement in February 2012 with the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). The agreement supports the ongoing discussions between the EU and Canada for concluding a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement and establishes cooperation modalities between CEN, CENELEC and SCC with a special emphasis on priority sectors that were identified by the partners.
USA
The Joint Presidents Group (JPG) of CEN, CENELEC and ETSI hold regular meetings with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The last meeting took place on 11 October 2011 in Washington D.C., followed by an open conference on 12 October 2011. The agenda of the JPG-ANSI meeting together with the presentations that were delivered, as well as information on the open conference can be reached through the ANSI website.
